Uranium-Glass (Vaseline glass)
Uranium Glass was also called Vaseline glass in Europe. This Glass contains low dose of Uranium for coloring purpose. Most of the Uranium Glass was made from the end of 19th century to 1940’s. Around 1940, Uranium was found to be the fundamental material for the atomic bombs, so, governments’ wanted to control all the Uranium trade, and the manufacture of Uranium Glass was terminated. It is quite difficult to obtain new Uranium Glass made today.
